‘Math-for-the-GRE’ Drop In
These drop-in review sessions meet every week. Emphasis will be on the Quantitative section of the GRE. We will use real GRE
quantitative problems, review relevant math concepts and develop excellent problem-solving approaches for these problems. Open to
all UNH students. Just show up for any session!
‘What to Expect on the GRE’ info session
There's a lot to learn about the GRE (Graduate Record Exam). If you're thinking about taking the GRE, this is a good place to start. All
details of the exam are covered: content, strategies for preparation, registration, costs, test locations and lots more. There will be
plenty of time allowed for questions. This session is open to all UNH students.
TRIO GRE Preparation Course:
This five-part series is geared for those thinking about taking the GRE; this is a good place to start. All details of the exam are covered:
content, strategies for preparation, registration, costs, test locations, and lots more. Plenty of time allowed for questions.
TRIO Career Exploration Series
A four-part series geared toward students who are figuring out their future career plans, trying to decide on a major, or really lost about
what they seek to do in their lives. . This workshop is for anyone wanting to pursue this topic further. We will cover: career
assessment, career information, resumes and career tools, decision-making, goals, and an action plan. Please sign up in advance and
expect to participate each week, same time and location for four weeks.
TRIO Community Dinner
Please join CFAR/TRIO staff and students on the 2nd floor of HoCo for a casual, welcome back meal together. If you do not have a
meal plan or meal card, please indicate when you RSVP and we’ll get you covered. After dinner we will be heading to Granite State
Room at 7PM to see the MLK Keynote Speaker. Feel free to join us.
Study Abroad & Study Away….Classes, Internships, Research, Volunteerism & Scholarships…There will be three (3)
opportunities to explore. Come to ONE of the below events, or come to ALL!

Study Abroad Fair
Did you know that you can take classes, volunteer, perform research, or work at an internship in another location and have it
count towards your UNH program/college experience? Representatives from various study abroad and study away programs
will be available to share information and ask questions. 1st and 2nd year students are highly encouraged to attend. Look for our
colleagues wearing TRIO WORKS buttons to ask your questions, and plan to join us for the Study Abroad Pizza Conversation
and Work session designed for our TRIO students only.

TRIO Study Abroad Pizza and Conversation
Join us for pizza and learn more about the study abroad programs, process and how to make it part of YOUR plan! Get a better
understanding of scholarships and fellowships to support your interest in pursuing these opportunities. This is the perfect forum
to ask questions about the benefits and barriers to studying abroad. In addition, learn more about experiential learning
opportunities such as internships, volunteerism, and research. Leave the conversation with a much better understanding of what
is available and how to navigate the process.

TRIO Study Abroad & Fellowship/Scholarship Work Session
Bring your laptop for a guided tour of how to research, select and apply to a study abroad program. Learn about the application
process and timeline for scholarships and “walk through” a scholarship application. Leave this work session with a plan and
timeline for studying abroad. This work session will also complete the first mandatory step to studying abroad, attending a “Study
Abroad Information Session”.
FAFSA Tips for TRIO Students
Do not risk your 2016-2017 financial aid by missing the FAFSA deadline! A representative from the UNH Financial Aid Office will
present an overview of the FAFSA filing process and answer questions regarding special circumstances. Bring your laptop and file your
FAFSA with an expert who will walk you through filing the FAFSA, step by step. Already filed but have questions? Join us, this session
will be for you too! Don’t have your tax information, don’t worry, you don’t need it to file by the March 1st deadline. You will leave this
session confident, knowing that you’ve filed on time and had the best possible guidance along the way.
TRIO Scholarship Search Work Session
Would you like to apply for scholarships, but can't find the time? Maybe you aren’t sure where to begin! Searching for scholarships can
seem overwhelming. It takes time to sift through all of the resources available to find a scholarship that is well suited for you. CFAR is
offering work sessions that you can use to devote dedicated time to your scholarship search and application under the guidance of
CFAR/TRIO staff. Bring a laptop if you can.
Money Management Work Session
Important information about managing your money and paying down your student loans. Join us, for this Money Management Work
Session! Learn about free online financial management resources for college students, and how they can help you! Bring your laptop if
you can.
