Wildwood Hills Ranch of Iowa Job Description Job Title: Director of Operations Department: Operations Reports To: CEO FLSA Status: Exempt SUMMARY The Operations Director is responsible for the various functions relating to the ongoing operation and facility supervision of Wildwood Hills Ranch of Iowa. This will include executing and managing a comprehensive operations plan that includes: Event scheduling, event staffing, kitchen operation management, oversight of facility planning and maintenance. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Execute, manage and coordinate all operations functions and activities. Have a strong comfort level working with other Directors to coordinate facilities and activities. Execute, manage and coordinate event functions and activities. Collaborate with Director of Programming/Community Outreach to coordinate summer preparation. Assist the CEO in the preparation of the annual operations budget, and administer and oversee the operations budget within approved parameters. Insure accurate, appropriate and timely recordkeeping and reporting of all information as it relates to areas of oversight and responsibilities. Work in a spirit of cooperation and mutual assistance with all other staff members of Wildwood Hills Ranch of Iowa. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; or two to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. REASONING ABILITY Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
