Integrated ChoreoLAB 7th – 11th April 2014 Pavilion Dance South West, South East Dance and GDance are working in partnership to increase development and choreographic opportunities for disabled and non-disabled artists working in integrated dance. The LAB is an opportunity for three artists to experiment with ideas, test possibilities with a collaborator and develop new work over a week. We welcome applications from physically or learning disabled artists, as well as from those with hidden disabilities such as mental health disorders. (This question is NOT considered in the selection process) To be eligible to apply The choreographer should have created at least one piece of choreography for performance (e.g. professional, youth or community); Either the choreographer or the collaborator must be a disabled artist; The choreographer can be disabled or non-disabled. Successful applicants will also take part in the Integrated Dance Summit on May 16th and 17th 2014 at Pavilion Dance, Bournemouth, where you’ll present up to 15 minutes of work in progress to a range of promoters and programmers from venues across the UK. Each artist will receive a total of £500 fee for attendance at the LAB and the summit, £500 budget for collaborator fees, a travel bursary of up to £75 per person for themselves and their collaborator as well as accommodation in Bournemouth on 6th – 10th April and May 16th. Producers from all three organisations will be present throughout the LAB and offer support, advice and feedback throughout the week.
