To provide high school principals and assistant principals with information regarding the suggested 20152016 Mathematics Course sequence for high school course credit.


The Department of Mathematics is providing principals and assistant principals with
information regarding the 2015-2016 suggested Mathematics Course sequence for high
school course credit.
Please see attached chart with the following footer notes:
o Students scoring at Level 1 & 2 or T-Score Equivalent (once released) on the FSA
EOC should be enrolled in and complete an Intensive Math course the following year
or be placed in a math course that includes remediation of skills not acquired by the
student. See WB 17356.
o Advanced Algebra with Financial Applications (1200500) is no longer available for the
2015-2016 school year (2015-16 Course Code Directory (CCD) Summary Changes).
This course will be replaced by Liberal Arts Mathematics 2 (120731002).
o Liberal Arts Mathematics 2 is NOT NCAA approved; however it is considered as
CORE for all four Bright Futures Scholarships and for SUS admissions.
o Math Analysis Honors (.5 credit) and Trigonometry Honors (.5 Credit) should be taken
together to meet annual course requirements. These courses were made available in
the Curriculum Bulletin offerings for the 2014-2015 school term.
o All students that have NOT demonstrated College Readiness by 11th grade MUST
take Math for College Readiness in 12th grade.
