To inform all middle school and K-8 Center principals, assistant principals, and mathematics teachers
about the 2015-2016 District Mathematics resources for curriculum, instruction and assessment.


The Department of Mathematics is providing all middle school and K-8 Center principals,
assistant principals, and mathematics teachers with information about the 2015-2016 math
pacing guides, opening of schools presentation resources, and textbook resources as referenced
in the attached document. To aid in the effective implementation of the Mathematics Florida
Standards (MAFS), please share PowerPoint information and updates with all teachers teaching
mathematics during opening of schools or the math department meeting.
Information regarding the following topics can be found in the attached table:
o Pacing Guides Learning Village upload schedule.
o Mathematic Essentials PowerPoint links for opening of school dissemination.
o Available MAFS textbook resources. Textbook resources will be accessible through the portal
as in the past. Questions regarding portal access should be routed to the instructional
materials department via HEAT ticket.
o District developed progress monitoring assessments. Topic Assessments will be uploaded and
accessible in the District Assessment Platform as scheduled in the Pacing Guides.
o Please note that the online platform for McGraw-Hill has been updated and the
organization of resources has been enhanced. Updated “How-to-Access” guides are
hyperlinked into the attached document.
