Federated States of Micronesia Applying for an Australia Awards Scholarship Australia Awards in the Federated States of Micronesia Australia Awards Pacific Scholarships Australia’s international development assistance in the Federated States of Micronesia aims to contribute to the long term development needs of the country particularly in the areas of tax reform, overseas development assistance, and environment. Australia Awards Pacific Scholarships provide opportunities to people from the Federated States of Micronesia and other developing nations in the Pacific, to study at a tertiary institution in the Pacific for the benefit of development in their home countries. This scholarship is available for study at graduate and postgraduate levels. Australia Awards are aligned with Australia’s development assistance in the Federated States of Micronesia, targeting human resource gaps in identified priority sectors. They aim to provide awardees with the skills and knowledge to drive change and influence economic and social development. The Australian Government will assess applicants for their professional and personal qualities, academic competence and, most importantly, their potential to impact on development challenges in the Federated States of Micronesia..
