1. Aberrant-away from the usual or expected course
2. Ablation-amputation or excision of any part of the body, or removal of a harmful growth or
substance
3. Accreditation- recognition by a professional association given to a hospital or school , that it has

4. Acetabulum- Large cup shaped cavity at the lateral surface of the ilium.
5. Achilles tendon- Common tendon that connects soleus & gastrocnemius muscles of the leg to
the heel

7. Acromegaly-metabolic condition caused by over secretion of growth hormones, resulting in

20. Antiarrhythmic- pertaining to a substance or procedure that prevents, alleviates or corrects
abnormal heart rhythm
21. Antineoplastic- medication that controls or kills cancer cells
22. Anuria- no urine output
23. Aqueous- watery, medication prepared with water, solution containing water
24. Arthrocentesis- inserting a needle to remove fluid from a joint
25. Ascites- abnormal intraperitoneal accumulation of fluid
