Chemical Reactions Project
Overview: You will research a career and investigate how chemical reactions are involved in the
life of a person in that career. Do not tell me that a career does not involve any chemical
reactions at all – think creatively! Once you have researched it, you will develop an opinion
about whether the chemical reactions are helpful or harmful to people in that career.
Instructions:
 Choose a career to research (you should have already done this for homework)
 Do some research: What does a person in this career do? What is their role in society?
 Dig deeper: What are some chemical reactions involved in the activities of this career?
Analyze those reactions for their TYPE and their INDICATORS.
 Form an opinion: Are those reactions helpful or harmful? Why?
 Present your information: You can make a poster, write an essay, or create a webpage.
