The first work activities will involve the installation of a storm sewer line across Iliff Avenue. Once this work is complete, crews will be beginning construction of the center pier for the light rail train bridge over Iliff Avenue. Storm Sewer installation will occur in three phases and will begin at the northeast corner of the intersection. • Phase One - three right lanes (including turn lane) on westbound Iliff Avenue closed • Phase Two - two left lanes of eastbound and two left lanes of westbound Iliff Avenue closed • Phase Three - three right lanes (including turn lane) on eastbound Iliff Avenue closed Lane restrictions for bridge construction will change with the work activity; look for signage to direct you. Although Iliff Avenue will remain open and access to local business will be maintained, through traffic is encouraged to use Yale or Mississippi Avenues for travel east and west in the area. Motorists wanting to access Abilene Street between Iliff and Mississippi Avenues should use S. Blackhawk Street to E. Evans Avenue to S. Abilene Street. For more information.
