HACETTEPE UNIVERSITY FACULTY OF ECONOMIC & ADMINISTRATIVE SCIENCES Fact Sheet for Student Exchange Program History: The faculty was established together with the Department of Economics and Department of Administrative Sciences within the Faculty of Social and Administrative Sciences in 1982. Then the Department of Public Administration, the Department of Public Finance, and the Department of International Relations were established within the faculty which was then named after the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences in 1983, 1984, and 1999, respectively. In 2006, the Department of Social Work, the Department of Health Administration, and the Department of Family and Consumer Sciences were included into the Faculty. The medium of instruction is either Turkish or English depending on the department. Every department has postgraduate programs. Location: Our school is located in Beytepe Campus in Ankara. Ankara is capital city of Turkey and city center population is more than 3.000.000. It takes 40 minutes by bus from Beytepe Campus to arrive in center of city. There are transportation possibilities. Our school is 39 km. away from Airport. Student-Exchange Partnership Agreements: (Terms can be revised according to partner needs) 2-4 students exchanged per year Semester-long exchanges Tuition reciprocity Student bears all financial costs Hacettepe provides information materials to partner for student distribution Hacettepe uses local and European Credit Transfer System together Exchange Students must pay contribution to Turkish Social Security System or have a private health insurance (internationally active) Student Living: On-Campus Student Dorms/ Housing Available Health Center and Emergency Facility (Also Hacettepe University Hospital is located in center of city and it has high reputation in the world) Public Transportation available to/from campus (Also university supported students with no fee) English Academics Student Clubs & Activities ( There are 30 student clubs in Faculty) Student Exchange Partners: Our School accepts students from European countries in Erasmus Programme. The Department of Economics offers a joint degree program with The State University of New York Geneseo to its incoming undergraduate students. And we have 91 Exchange agreements with European universities.
