Morean Arts Center: Summer art camp (Campers will have the opportunity to choose
from several activities such as painting, drawing, collage, construction, puzzles, games
and books throughout the various centers in the studio & will focus on the theme of the
week with a teacher) + Summer adult workshops (Using their choice of acrylics, oils,
water soluble oils and mixed media, students will learn various painting techniques such
as color blocking, blending, shading, over-painting and direct color application, basic
color theory and composition as well as a variety of mixed media techniques including
collage and montage. Participants will consolidate information and techniques learned,
with the goals of creating more compelling paintings and, in the case of more advanced
students, each discovering his or her unique artistic style. There will be short
demonstrations on a variety of media and techniques. The workshop ends with a nonthreatening critique. All levels of experience are welcome, the only prerequisite is a
willingness to let go of artistic inhibitions and to have fun.)

Great Explorations Children’s Museum: non-profit organization that has served the
children and families of the Tampa Bay area since 1987. Designed for children 10 and

Art Around the World, serving children ages six through 12 of all abilities; Summer
Studio was created to give young artists of all abilities between the ages of 13 and 22 the

Studio 620: The Studio proposes a unique summer camp, which they have had the
pleasure to host every July for the past eight years. Teens ages 14-18 have the
opportunity to write, plan, shoot, edit and screen up to four movies and they do it with
organization, zeal and jaw-dropping creativity. The camp is produced by the Sunscreen
Film Festival and its corps of volunteers. Because it's a community undertaking and has
the benefit of volunteer support, it's not just one of the best film camp opportunities in

Forward Thinking Initiatives: Forward Thinking Initiatives (FTI), a Tampa Bay non-profit
that has been teaching youth entrepreneurship for nine years, is partnering with The St.
