About this Opportunity
Regency Centers is seeking an Assistant Property Manager to join our Walnut Creek, California regional
office. This individual will be responsible for assisting property managers with the operations and maintenance
of their region or portfolio, and provide analytical support. The selected incumbent will also assist property
managers in all aspects of day-to-day operations management of assigned properties. This individual will report
directly to the Director of Property Operations for the West Region.
Key Responsibilities
 Assist in the fiscal management of the properties in assigned area (i.e., maintenance of A/R and A/P,
operating expense control, completion of budgeted items for Capital Improvement Program and
assistance in preparing budgets, monthly and annual financial reports).
 Assist in the management of properties’ physical performance (i.e. bidding contracts, inspections,
signage approval, etc).
 Assist in the management of relationships with tenants and vendors (i.e. addresses and follows up with
tenant complaints via inspections, phone, correspondence and email and monitors vendors).
 Assist with operations issues such as tenant transition, processing rent relief requests, collections, etc.
 Coordinate tenant Improvements.
 Work on special projects/ongoing initiatives according to current needs.
Qualifications
Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or equivalency
2 to 4 years operational experience in the commercial real estate industry
Occasional travel
Quantitative and analytical skills and an attention to detail
Basic knowledge of GAAP, retail leasing industry and contract terminology
Intermediate level proficiency with current Microsoft Office software, email and internet research
functionality
Preferred:








Real estate license
Working knowledge of JD Edwards or other accounting software


CPM designation
Member of ICSC and regularly attends local events
