Bio:
Anne’s early years in Ireland set the tone for her life’s ambition to seek creative influence in everything from music and literature
to nature’s ongoing visual experience. In her late teens, she returned to the States and pursued an education at Traphagen
School of Fashion, then on to the School of Visual Arts in NYC. After working on the east coast as a freelance artist, she moved
to California where she switched gears and got a job in the PR department at Elektra Asylum Recording Studios in Los Angeles.
Anne spent two exciting years promoting Jackson Browne, Joni Mitchell, Bonne Raitt, Queen and many other bands, then went
back to working in the visual arts as an Illustrator for Well Being Magazine in San Diego.
In the early 1980’s, Anne returned to NYC for an illustrating position at Hammacher Schlemmer’s landmark store on 57th Street.
Her drawings of their products were published weekly in The New York Times and in The Wall Street Journal. In the late 1980’s,
she worked as a product designer for Houze Glass, creating licensed artwork for Merrill Lynch and other Wall Street firms. In
2002, after taking time off to raise a family, she taught art classes at CAPS (Cultural Arts in Progress) in Yardley, PA while
pursuing a career as a fine artist. In 2012, Anne delved into the ancient art of Encaustics, an evolving technique she has come
to love. Since 2008, she has shown her work locally and abroad while continuing to teach Drawing and Oil Painting adult
classes at the AOY Art Center in Yardley, PA.
