Highlights:
Year 8 has done exceptionally well in improving PP attendance despite having the highest percentage of Pupil Premium students in their year group. Things
they have done which have worked:





Constant monitoring of PA
Ringing home
Tutors informed Year team of PP student who were away via email.
Regular conversations between the Year team and those students who are persistent absentees.
HOY present during absentee meetings alongside L Jones heightened communication and student awareness.
Year 10 have done well. They have the second largest percentage of Pupil Premium and PA’s within that group yet they have still improved their
attendance. Year 7 has the highest proportion of PA students within the Pupil Premium group but is still beating targets set.
Year 9 Is the next target group to improve attendance through a concerted effort from the Year team and attendance teams.
Year 11 has been least successful but is the second largest group in the school with 105 students. The 26 Persistent Absentees who are also Pupil Premium
were written to in the Spring Term offering a minibus service and a free breakfast to get them into school. All parents in this group were sent a letter, there
was no uptake.
