Dear Parent/Guardian,
On Tuesday January 13th, the class will be visiting the elders at the Skidegate Haida Immersion Program.
Originally, we intended to have this fieldtrip before Christmas but had to reschedule for various reasons.
During our visit to S.H.I.P., we will be playing some Haida Language games we’ve learnt with Joan, learn a
bit about what is done at S.H.I.P. and sing a few Haida songs we have learnt as a class.
The class will walk 2 km (rain or shine) to S.H.I.P. first thing in the morning and plan to return before
lunch. Please remind your child to wear comfortable footwear, wear warm clothes, and a good rain jacket.
