Radnor High School Course Syllabus Created 5/2/2011 Spanish 2 0562 Credits: 1.0 Weighted: College Prep Grades: 9,10,11,12 Prerequisite: Reading at grade level and C (72.5) or above in either Middle School Spanish 1 or High School Spanish 1. Length: 1 year Format: Meets Daily Overall Description of Course This is a college preparatory course which features moderate pacing and a moderate workload, with teacher guidance to assist in the mastery of the material. Each quarter students will complete 1 unit (2 lessons). Students will be expected to review and memorize vocabulary or grammar concepts covered in class at home daily, complete an average of 5 homework assignments per week as well as prepare for weekly or bi-weekly assessments. Spanish 2 students progress toward meeting the challenges of competitive college work, developing higher order thinking skills and continuing to develop independence both inside and outside the classroom.
