BRANDING GUIDELINES FOR THE
DEPARTMENT OF SUSTAINABILITY, ENVIRONMENT,
WATER, POPULATION AND COMMUNITIES
LAND SECTOR PACKAGE MEASURES
The following information sets out the branding guidelines for Land Sector Package
projects as administered by the Department of Sustainability, Environment, Water,
Population and Communities for third parties, including successful project proponents.
The Department of Sustainability, Environment, Water, Population and Communities
administers the following four Land Sector Package measures:

The Biodiversity Fund

Indigenous Carbon Farming Fund

Regional Planning for Natural Resource Management Climate Change Fund

Land Sector Carbon and Biodiversity Board
Land Sector Package materials must be branded with both the Australian Government
Coat of Arms and the Clean Energy Future (CEF) logo. An example of how the crest
and logo are used together is at the top of this document. This branding must be
applied to all communication materials promoting your project.
GENERAL INFORMATION
The Australian Government Coat of Arms should be located on the left side at the top
of the page, and the CEF logo placed on the right. Both logos should be equal to each
other in size, and aligned. The logos must be of publication quality; this means using a
high resolution (300dpi) formats for print publications. Low resolution logos (72dpi) are
acceptable for online publications, such as PDFs and websites. For more advice on
suitable file types, contact Public Affairs.
In no way should the Coat of Arms or the CEF logos be altered. If the logo of a third
party proponent or organisation is to be included on Biodiversity Fund promotional
material, it must be place separately to the Coat of Arms and CEF logo, and must not
precede the Coat of Arms.
Publications associated with the Biodiversity Fund must carry the following
acknowledgment & disclaimer;
“This publication has been developed with the support of the Australian government.
The views and opinions expressed in this publication are those of the authors and do
not necessarily reflect those of the Australian Government.”
ABOUT THE COMMONWEALTH COAT OF ARMS
The Commonwealth Coat of Arms is the formal symbol of the Commonwealth of
Australia that signifies Commonwealth authority and ownership. The Coat of Arms is
used as part of the common branding applied to most Australian Government
departments and agencies.
Applying the design
Guidelines have been developed to ensure usage of the Coat of Arms is consistent
across all communication materials (see reference at the end of this document).

The Coat of Arms should be placed in a position of prominence on a page, that is,
at the top left side of the page, followed by the top middle, and then the top right.

The Coat of Arms should appear only once in a document and should not be
overprinted with words or images.

Logos, text or illustration must not be placed above the Coat of Arms and the
proportions must not be altered.

The Coat of Arms should not be used as decorative or artistic element or as a
watermark, for example, in a publication, display or presentation.
For brochures and communications such as television and print advertisements, the
Coat of Arms may be placed elsewhere in the document as appropriate. The integrity
of the Coat of Arms must be maintained and must not be reproduced in a size which
renders the Coat of Arms unrecognisable.
ABOUT THE CLEAN ENERGY FUTURE (CEF) LOGO
The CEF logo is the central brand that is incorporated into all elements of the
communications campaign and initiatives that are part of the CEF package. It was
developed by the Department of Climate Change and Energy Efficiency to establish a
clear identity for, and build awareness of, the initiative.
Applying the design
Land Sector Package materials must be branded with both the Australian Government
Coat of Arms and the Clean Energy Future (CEF) logo.

The CEF logo should be placed in a position of prominence on a page and should
be placed on the top right hand of a page.

When not used at the top of the page, the CEF logo must have equal prominence
to other branding (for example, with another Australian Government logo).

The CEF logo must not be overprinted with words or images nor appear on a colour
background or on top of an image.

The proportions of the CEF logo must never be altered.
