TEAM INTRODUCTION DINNER
The 2016 Girls soccer teams were introduced this past December 10th at the Waxahachie Ninth
Grade Academy. The Waxahachie Girls Soccer program has held the annual event to recognize
and announce their team rosters since 2005. The Lady Indians 3 teams were treated to chili and
the fixings by the Lady Indian Soccer Booster Club. After prayer and dinner all three girls teams
were introduced to the crowd in attendance. This annual dinner was started in 2003 by Coach
Venable and is done to serve as the opportunity to introduce all players and gives the parents an
opportunity to see their daughters recognized and become more familiar with the programs
activities, booster club, and schedules.

2nd ANNUAL LADY INDIAN ALUMNI GAME
On Friday, December 20th several former Lady Indians attended and participated in the 2nd
Annual Girls Alumni Game. The large return of female soccer players allowed for a fun evening
of soccer this year. A list of this years participants are listed with their year of graduation to the
right. Coach Venable was ecstatic at the participation this year and continues to making this an
annual event. “Seeing these ladies return and see what they have become or are working to
become makes me proud and is a great example for the girls that are still in our program. These
former players are what created this program and made this high school soccer program what it
is today. Today’s players can see the girls on the walls of my office in person and see who I refer
to everyday. I have been very fortunate to have had such outstanding players and young ladies.”
LADY INDIAN – JANUARY START TO THE SEASON
The Junior Varsity 1 and 2 begins their season December 29th with a scrimmage at Midlothian
Heritage and the Varsity begins their season with a four team scrimmage at Lumpkin’s Stadium
January 2nd. Jan. 4th the JV 1, JV 2 and Varsity have home scrimmages vs Burleson. The
Annual Highway 287 Tournament for Varsity will be held January 7th through 9th.
