Postdoctoral Fellowship)
Postdoctoral fellowship in clinical health psychology/behavioral medicine, including clinical work and
research focused on psychiatric comorbidity in medical conditions. Clinical duties included assessment
and cognitive-behavioral treatment of adults with chronic headache and comorbid Axis I
psychopathology, as well as psychiatrist-referred patients with depressive and anxiety disorders. Also
served as Associate Director for the UMC Head Pain Center.

Assessment and treatment of adult outpatients with Axis I and II disorders. Rotations included: Head

obese veterans seeking bariatric surgery, evaluation of males with erectile and other sexual dysfunctions,

Assessment and treatment of primarily minority and low-income children within a residential treatment
program. Assessment included comprehensive psychological evaluations (clinical interview, MSE,
intelligence and achievement tests, personality measures, and self-report measures) regarding severe
behavioral problems, sexual offenses, and abuse/neglect. Therapy services included weekly individual
therapy and group therapy.

Provided brief interventions for substance abuse using principles of motivational interviewing and harm

ADHD/Learning Disorder Specialty Clinic for Adults, Auburn, AL (2001-2003)

included structured diagnostic interviews (SCID, ADIS-IV) and intake interviews, intelligence and
