Report on Trip to England IB4 Introduction During the week of 19 to 23 May half of the IB4 students went to England and the other half went to Germany, as a part of an internationalisation project. Together with a bunch of my classmates, I went to England. Speaking English During the week we stayed with a host family in Bromley, in small groups of about three to four students. I spoke a lot of English with my hosts, who were very kind. We often ate dinner together, which was very cosy. Visits On our trip we saw a lot of interesting sights in London and its surroundings. We visited London, Oxford and Canterbury. On our way to Bromley we made a stop in Canterbury and we visited Canterbury’s Cathedral. In London we did a sightseeing tour and we visited Kaplan College, the Victoria and Albert museum and the musical The Phantom of the Opera. In Oxford we had a guided tour around the university buildings and the Bodleian library: parts of the Harry Potter films were filmed there. Afterwards, we visited the Ashmolean Museum. Moreover, we had plenty of free time in Canterbury, Oxford and London, which was mainly used for shopping. Conclusion In short, our visit to England was an educational and very enjoyable trip.
