Senior Research Fellow/Associate Professor Health & Rehabilitation Research Institute School of Clinical Sciences Full time, permanent position Based at AUT North Shore Campus You are invited to apply for a position as a Senior Research Fellow/Associate Professor in AUT’s Faculty of Health and Environmental Sciences. This position is a co-joint position with the Pain Service in the Department of Anaesthesiology and Perioperative Medicine at North Shore Hospital, Auckland. It includes a role in the development of new and existing research programs in the field of acute (e.g. postsurgical) and chronic pain. Additional roles include leadership and active participation in project management activities including the administration of research projects, as well some teaching and supervision of postgraduate students. The post will require the ability to use initiative and work without close supervision. You will hold a Doctoral Degree (PhD or MD) in Pain Medicine, Psychology, Neuroscience, Pharmacology, Rehabilitation, Biostatistics, Rheumatology, Endocrinology or related fields. You will have a proven track record in research publication and dissemination. Experience in working with / conducting research in patients with chronic pain, musculoskeletal or neurological conditions would be advantageous. Teaching experience and experience working in a hospital or with interdisciplinary teams would also be an advantage.
