PRESENTATIONS
Annual Conference
Expanding School Psychological Services to Improve Student Outcomes
February 29, 2016 – March 1, 2016
Clyde Muse Center-Hinds Community College
Pearl, Mississippi
We are seeking presentations for the MAPS Annual Conference to be held at the Clyde Muse Center-Hinds
Community College in Pearl, Mississippi. Presentation submissions focusing on critical topical issues,
such as assessment, eligibility, response to intervention, positive behavior supports, or related areas are
encouraged. We would like to emphasize information that would be of practical benefit to psychometrists,
school psychologists, behavior specialists, interventionist, and psychologists. We particularly encourage
presentations surrounding establishing standards and best practices in school psychology. Posters and
papers are encouraged.
I.
Description of Presentation
Paper Sessions (75 minutes): Presentations reporting research studies;
assessment, intervention, and/or program evaluation mini skill sessions may be
appropriate for this format.
Poster Session (75 minutes): Presentations reporting research studies, program
and/or intervention impact, and position or opinion statements may be
appropriate for this format.
II.
Submission Instructions
A.
One copy of a brief double-spaced summary (no more that 1 page) of
your presentation. On the summary page, include the title of the
presentation ONLY. Please, no names or affiliations.
B.
A 30- to 50-word abstract must be included with the summary.
C.
A copy of the Presenter Cover Sheet must also accompany each
submission.
D.
Please send submission electronically to Dr. Tawny McCleon,
Conference Chair at tne1@msstate.edu by 5:00pm on January 29, 2016.
E.
The primary presenter will be notified of acceptance for inclusion in the
convention program via email by February 5, 2016.
