Biology Department, Suffolk County Community College. Fall 2011 ed. Hayden McNeil Publishing. ATTENDANCE POLICY: Attendance in laboratory is mandatory. Students are required to attend every lab. Students who miss more than one (1) lab session may be dropped from the course. The absence may be made-up by attending a different section where the same exercise is being done if there is room in that section (see posted lab schedule and speak with the instructor). If you use this option, you should get a written confirmation from the instructor that you made-up the exercise. A student may be removed from the class roster by an instructor at any time when, in the judgment of the instructor, absences have been excessive or when a student is disruptive or disrespectful. LEAVING LABORATORY CLASSES EARLY IS NOT PERMITTED. Do not make any other commitments or appointments during the laboratory class period.
