Dixie Band Annual Yard Sale/ Car Wash/Bake Sale/Grill Out Saturday, July 14th from 8:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. The yard sale/car wash is fast approaching, and we are looking for lots of help. Please take a look at the information below to see where you can help out. Please email dixiepitguardmom@gmail.com with your available times to help before and during the day on July 14th. There will also be signup sheets at the trailer during drop time off times next week. Thanks! Donations: We need donations for all aspects of the day. We are asking that each family donate at least 10 items. The 10 items can be a combination of any of the items listed below. *Yard Sale Items to Sell *Hamburgers/Hot Dogs/Buns *Mustard/Mayo/Ketchup *Soft Drinks *Napkins/Foil *Items for the Bake Sale *Car Wash Supplies *Boxes *Grocery Bags (For customers to put their multitude of purchases.) *Markers/Masking Tape/Poster board We will be accepting yard sale donations the following days and times in front of the school at the trailer: Saturday, July 7th – 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 10th – 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 11th – 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Thursday, July 12th - 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Friday, July 13th – 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Items being donated for the yard sale should be dropped off to the trailer in the front parking lot. You can begin dropping off at 4 p.m. during band camp days next week at 4:00 p.m. Someone will be at the trailer to open it at 5:30 each night. If it is raining and the trailer is not open, please wait to drop off your donations when open at 5:30 p.m. All other donations (for car wash, bake sale, and cook out) can be brought to the concession stand during band camp times (5:00-9:00 p.m. Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday). What do we take??????? Pretty much everything……….CLOTHES, SHOES, PURSES, KITCHEN ITEMS, ELECTRONICS, MOVIES, BOOKS, FURNITURE, TOYS, BIKES, HOLIDAY STUFF, LINENS, EXERCISE EQUIPMENT, TOOLS, STUFFED ANIMALS, BASKETS, ETC. Large Items to Donate/Truck to help If you have large items that you would like to donate, please let us know. If you have a truck and are willing to pick up large items, please let us know. Advertising If anyone has any local media contacts or would like to help with advertising, please let us know. Also, we still need lots of signs made up for the kids to hold the day of the yard sale and to put up around the community. If you would be willing to help make the signs and/or distribute them around the community, please let us know. Joyce Nessler will be contacting the Enquirer and the Voice of Villa Hills / Tammy Lawson will be putting on Craigslist. Any connections you have will help greatly!!! Bake Sale Trina Long will be running the bake sale. We will need baked goods that will not melt, etc. in the heat/sun. If you can help and/or donate, please let us know. Grill Out Ron Jividen will be running the grill out portion of the day. We will need hotdogs, hamburgers, buns, canned drinks and bottled water, individual bags of chips, paper products and condiment, etc. If you can help and/or donate, please let us know. Car Wash Colleen Fitzpatrick and Shelley Rigg will be running the car wash. The kids will wash the cars. We will need buckets, hoses, soap, and lots and lots of towels and sponges. We need a hose splitter if someone has one they can donate for the day. If you can help or donate with anything, please let us know. Band Bucks This is the first opportunity to earn Band Bucks for this Season. $100 in Band Bucks with 10 items donation. $100 in Band Bucks for each student/parent working the day of the event. $100 in Band Bucks for each evening a parent/guardian volunteers to help sort and price items for the sale. Item Pricing New for this year – IF YOU ARE ABLE – we are asking for help in pricing your items. If you can price your items before bringing them to school, that would be a GREAT help. If not, bring it on up and we will price items. We will not turn away ANY DONATIONS!!! You do not need to price any clothing items (including shoes, purses, belts, etc.), books, movies, or stuffed animals. We will begin pricing items on Tuesday, July 10th through Friday, July 13th. Times will be 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm. We need tons of help with this. Please, please feel free to show up any night that you are able to help. Set-Up We will begin setting up for the yard sale Saturday morning at 6:00 a.m. Once you get over the shock, please consider showing up bright and early to help! Or anytime through the day up until 2 p.m. Fiesta Bowl Raffle If you can sell tickets during the day of the sale, please contact Joyce Nessler at jmnessler@gmail.com or sign up at trailer next week. Pool Party To be held at the Nessler’s directly after the yard sale is over for the day. The band will supply hotdogs and hamburgers. Please bring a 2 liter and a side or dessert to share. Thanks!! We know this is a lot of information, and we still may have forgotten something, so please feel free to contact us with any ideas questions, etc. This is a great fundraiser for the band and we truly appreciate all the help.
