Organization:
This monster pouch is a great organizational tool and was purchased at staples. It unzips all the way around and becomes a straight line. It is a fun tool to use since the monster can eat the pencils or your favorite positive behavior support “gotcha”
This is my desk at school. I have to work as hard to keep my desk organized as my students. This old drafting table was in our attic. A coat of dapple textured Rustoleum from Lowes gave the table and the old fine cabinets an industrial look. I also spray painted an old egg basket for my waste basket. I love it for a desk because it has huge storage underneath and even a full sized shelf to put stuff. It is great for oversized testing kits like my Sensory Integration and Praxis Test. The fabric came from Hobby Lobby and is attached to the desk with sticky back Velcro. The hydraulic stool came from Home Goodes.
The cabinet from the trash stands next to two old cabinets I found in the school storage. On top I have increased my storage using a ribbed collapsible leaf bin (which has card board blocks in it from Lowes) and old plastic storage bins that were stored at home. Everyone loves these cheap plastic Slinkys that hang from the ceiling that were in the $1.00 isle at Target. My husband hung these for me under the ceiling panels. Fabric that covers the cabinets came from Hancock fabric.
benefit from covering up equipment is that you have concealed storage underneath. The barrel came from SouthPaw Enterprises.
A teacher appreciation cart that I purchased from Lowes. I painted the back with blackboard paint so I use it as a space separator at school, a message board and have the kids push the cart to the classes when they take the teacher appreciation gifts around to the teachers that they make on a monthly basis.
The cart has two internal shelves and a shelf on top, locks in the front. I even had my husband install a manual pencil sharpener on top.
I also painted an old shelf in the attic to match my desk and file cabinets. I painted the back with blackboard paint from Lowes and use it as a message board and room divider.
These locked cabinets are used for the kid’s lockers at Town and Country School in Tulsa Oklahoma.
They are large enough for necessary items and have a key opening lock. The kids wear their keys on lanyards. This is a huge time saver because many students have issues with combination locks.
At Town and Country in Tulsa we have a quiet area called Parachute Paradise (Parachute from
Abilitations I have also found some at Target) made out of a parachute hanging against a wall. Since it is a paradise it needed an organizer for the tropical fish and star fish fidgets (available from Abilitations) so we used a sand pail (available at Walmart).
