Biography
Nina Paskowitz began her career in 1987, working on a low budget film, with an unknown actor and no
makeup trailer. The film was titled THE NIGHT BEFORE, and the up-and-coming young actor was
Keanu Reeves.
She was immediately hooked by the creativity, the energy, and the kinship inherent in the film business.
INTERNAL AFFAIRS, starring Richard Gere and Andy Garcia, was Nina’s first box office smash. Gere’s
hairstyle was the talk of the town, premiering his legendary silvery hair. Nina loved collaborating with both
men and women, however this film launched her reputation as one of the industry’s best men’s groomers.
This was a turning point in her career. Her hairstyles create an ease, a freedom and a natural texture for
her actor, a trait which is appealing and sexy, hence, the introduction of her signature style, STUDIOCUT.
For an actor, STUDIOCUT allows his “look” to reflect his inner character. For the director, this humanizes
the character and supports a more realistic performance.
STUDIOCUT has transformed such actors as:
Paul Rudd, Alan Alda, Matthew Broderick, Bill Pullman, Ed Burns, Ben Stiller, Tom Hanks, Sam Rockwell,

Nina continues to work with Keanu Reeves, most recently promoting his documentary, SIDE BY SIDE.

Expanding into television, along side such film colleagues as writer/director Jake Kasdan, Nick Stoller and
Frank Darabont, Nina recently collaborated on Darabont’s upcoming TNT series, LOST ANGELS, starring
Jon Bernthal, Simon Pegg, Milo Ventimiglia and Alexa Davalos.
Nina’s most recent venture, GREEN HAIRSTYLING, integrates her passion for organic living with her
STUDIOCUT style. She’s thrilled to return to Los Angeles for Fashion Week, creating extraordinary
hairstyles for the runway, as she did in Paris, for Fashion Week in the 90s, yet now adding an eco friendly
twist to it all.
Nina continually speaks out on behalf of a more eco friendly hair care industry, supporting such green hair
care lines as AVEDA, SIMPLY ORGANIC and NEUMA. Her client’s health is primary, along with looking
great, but more importantly, feeling great.
