920 & 921 Biographies: Here you will find biographies…and we have
quite a few biographies! The 920s are collective biographies—books with biographies
of people grouped together by something they have in common. 921 is the section for
biographies on individuals. Notice how they are organized.

Fiction: So how is the fiction organized? Is it organized by genre

Reference: Many of these books are sets of books—encyclopedias on
particular subjects. Most of these encyclopedia-type books have an index at the back
(usually in the last volume). Go to the encyclopedia sets in the 100s—these are
general knowledge encyclopedias, covering a wide range of topics. Find an article on
Charles Dickens. Write his birthdate, where he was born and describe the way his
novels were published. How was he paid?
