Foreign Language
Students should take a foreign language in 9th grade only if they intend to take a course in that language each year of
high school (Spanish I, II, III, & IV for example). If not, students are advised to wait until 11th grade to begin taking a
foreign language if they are college-bound. Colleges require 2 foreign language credits; foreign language is not required
for high school graduation.
