Notes to Give a Hoot About
This week we will be
reviewing our Unit 3 texts in order
for students to create a “Published
Writing Piece”. Encourage your
child to work hard on their writing.
Next week is Thanksgiving week.
We will have NO SCHOOL
November 23-27. Classes resume
on November 30.  I hope you all
enjoy your time with your family.
Snack time is after specials each
day. Please send one in with your
child.

Monument – a building or statue
that is made to honor a person or
event.
Landmark – an important building
or place.
Thanksgiving Day – a U.S. holiday
for feasting and giving thanks. It
honors the Pilgrims’ celebration of
good harvest in 1621. It is held the
fourth Thursday in November.
Celebrate – to honor a special day or
event.
Traditions – the handing down of
customs and beliefs from generation
to generation.
