RECITALS
(A)
RNE has designed and developed the Path Coordination System ("PCS"). PCS is an internet based
communication system for the coordination of timetables in international passenger and freight rail transport.
It supports its users with information regarding availability and parameters of international train paths, and
eases the coordination process through the automated alignment of path requests and path offers and by
data exchange between the IT systems of connected infrastructure managers, allocation bodies and path
applicants. PCS consists of hardware and software components (the central system).
(B)
Each PCS User transfers and receives Data either automatically via its own domestic system or
manually into/from PCS.
(C)
RNE has the exclusive right to operate PCS and to grant licenses to others to access the data
contained in the database of PCS.
(D)
RNE intends to grant a license to the PCS User with the right to use and access PCS.
