The girls’ varsity basketball team travels to Oakton for a 6:00 pm game. The boys’ varsity basketball team will play Fairfax at WT Woodson for a 6:00 pm game time! All Poetry Out Loud finalists are to meet in the auditorium during 3rd period on Tuesday, December 4th for Poetry Out Loud Finals orientation, which will take most, or all, of the period. See Ms. Hsu in Room 248 with any questions. The Theatre Arts Department presents The Yellow Boat tonight at 7 PM with additional performances on December 1st, 7th and 8th. The play is the story of 8 year old Benjamin, who was born with hemophilia and struggles with AIDS complications. Tickets are $8 for students and $10 for adults. WARRIORS WINTER CONDITIONING will be offered for all interested student-athletes going out for spring sports! See Coach Patrick Johnson for more information. Conditioning will begin on Monday, December 3 in the weight room at 3:15 pm. This is for student-athletes who are not currently participating on a winter sports team. This invitation also extends to the Wakefield Faculty! Seniors get excited about Panoramic Picture Day! Lifetouch Photography will be at Wakefield on Thursday, December 6th for Senior Panoramic Pictures! This is the only time for all SENIORS to take one great portrait together and will provide lots of memories for years to come! Panoramic pictures are pre-pay only (orders are due on photography day 12/6/12). Additional pictures cannot be ordered later. The panoramic picture size is 8 x 24 and seniors have the choice of purchasing a laminated picture ($23) or a non-laminated picture ($18). To purchase a panoramic picture, please pay with a money order or check made payable to Lifetouch Photography. Checks must include current address and phone number. Cash is acceptable but is not the recommended form of payment. Seniors may pick up picture forms in advance from the Senior Office from Ms. Moton in room 126, the front office, and/or the Student Activities Office in room 154 (from Ms. Deskins or Bob Strauss). Pictures will be taken in the main gym at 10:15 am on December 6th – this is the only date for the photo! There is a great opportunity today to learn more about the Culinary Arts University in America. Johnson and Wales University will be here today in the senior suite at 1pm. This school specializes in the culinary arts, hospitality management and business administration. They have four campuses in the United States. Bring a pass from your teacher or counselor to learn more about Johnson and Wales University in the senior suite at 1pm. today
