The Beaverbrook Art Gallery and Art Educator
Sandy Brewer, invite your teen(s) to be a part of
our 2015 Outreach Afterschool Art Program at Stanley Middle School! With more than 15 years of
experience teaching art to many generations of children of all ages, Sandy’s classes are fun & relaxed with
her effortless way of putting students at ease, encouraging everyone to explore their “Artist Within”.
Utilizing a variety of mediums Sandy brings fresh innovative ideas to her classes using acrylic
and water colour paints, oil and chalk pastel, clay, papier-mache and sculpture.
Sandy’s Art Programs are developed to nurture creativity and encourage your teen’s self-expression in a
fun environment at your school! A passionate Art Educator, Sandy designs her programs to engage her
students in activities inspired by the original art exhibitions from our gallery, world art and nature,
opening for them a world of creative possibilities! Centered on student’s learning abilities and interests
including basic techniques of drawing, painting and sculpture while introducing a variety of media:
collage, printing and glazing.
Programs are 8 week sessions for 2 hours, after school from 3~5pm, $80 per child. Classes included all
materials. Space is limited to 18~20 students per program, ($5 per hour). Spaces do fill fast.
If your teen will not be attending the ASAP due to illness etc please call Sandy at 261-5840.
