How to guide PETA Limited Video Learning for Engineering Apprentices How to: Create engineering quizzes using Quizizz PROJECT LEAD Sally Betts Learning Technologies Consultant This work is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercialShareAlike 2.0 UK: England & Wales License. PETA Limited How to: Create quizzes using Quizizz 1. Introduction Quizizz is an online quiz tool that creates quizzes for use in a workshop session. Learners can play individually or in teams. They can play from any device (tablet or smartphone) with Internet access. They don’t need an account; you simply provide them with a code. Each quiz question is related to an image, so this is a great way for students to be assessed on their ability to name or recognise the function of pieces of equipment. As the teacher you open the quiz classroom, provide a quiz code, allowing learners to sign in, and then start the quiz once everyone has joined the room. Learners work through the questions and then have the ability to review their answers individually. As the teacher you see the overall and individual class results. You can run quizzes on learners’ mobile phones using the Wi-Fi connection at the beginning or end of session. The overall class results provide a snapshot of areas where learners might need further input/support. If learners played in pairs or teams, it could be used to make revision or end of topics more fun.
