1920s and 1930s Video Skit Project
This project is the cat’s pajamas! For this assignment, you will be working with
classmates to showcase what you’ve learned on specific topics during the 1920s and
1930s unit. Each group will be assigned a theme, and will create a skit (including props
and a transcript) that will be videotaped and shared with the class. Each video should
be between 2-4 minutes long and e-mailed to Ms. E (Carlishia.Elligan@lcps.org) or Ms.
O’Leary (Alison.OLeary@lcps.org) the NIGHT BEFORE THE VIDEO SHARE DATE.
Do not wait until class, as we will be reviewing each video before we share them.
Each video must accurately include all of the required vocabulary words of the
theme to receive full credit. Just using the word in a sentence will not prove you
understand it – context clues or definitions must be obvious for each to show that you
know its relevance to the 1920s/1930s. CONSULT THE RUBRIC TO MAKE SURE
YOU HAVE ALL OF YOUR REQUIREMENTS. You will have one class block to finish
planning and videotaping the assignment before the video share date. Not all students
have to be in the video, but all must participate in its creation. If you are absent on the
planning day, your group will make their video without you and you are responsible
for creating one on your own time – no exceptions.
