PI submits a project request form in PPMS
PI arranges transfer of 2 males to Peds G08 (week1)
Sperm is cryopreserved (week 2)
QC IVF procedure is done (week 3)
PI genotypes toe biopsies from pups born when they are 7 days old and sends results to the Core (week 7)
Pups are euthanized or weaned onto PI’s smart key and protocol number and transferred to PI’s housing location.

PI is responsible to order the project from PPMS
PI needs contact TMF to discuss project
PI is responsible for arranging transfer of two 10-16 week old male mice to Peds G08.
Project Flow:

PI transfers two proven breeder males that are 10-16 week old to Peds G08
TMF will Order 9 wild type egg donors for QC IVF with PI’s smart key.
TMF will cryopreserve the sperm
TMF will do the quality control test. One straw will be thawed and used in the QC IVF procedure with eggs from the wildtype female
donors.
Toe clips will be taken from the pups for genotyping when pups are 7 days old.
PI lab is responsible for screening QC pups from toe biopsies
PI lab is responsible to send TMF screening result and electronic image
When pups are 4 weeks of age, TMF will use PI’s IACUC protocol and smart key to wean the pups
After genotyping confirmed, TMF staff will euthanasia pups or transfer to PI lab

TMF will bill PI on the month of the project initiated:

Sperm cryopreservation fee: $1514

Egg donors purchase will be ordered directly onto PI’s smart key
Extra fee will be billed to PI lab in the following cases:


Project Guarantee and Quality Control

TMF will guarantee the existing Core protocol and Core SOP are followed, and will follow any protocols provided from PI
