Catholic Schools Week 2014 Schedule
Sunday, 1/26/14 – Sunday, 2/2/14
Sun, 1/26/14
 School families are encouraged to attend 11:30 Mass
o Any student who attends 11:30 Mass in uniform will get an out of
uniform pass. (Please make sure to check in with your teacher so they
know you were there.)
o Friend of the School award is presented
o St. Norbert students will be lectors and will present the gifts
 Curriculum Fair (following 11:30 Mass – 1:30 pm)
o All are invited to visit a reception in Grace Hall
o Science Fair and Junior High teachers will be in the gym
o Art Fair in the hall
o Classrooms are open to visit and view student work
Mon, 1/27/14 – Muffins with Mom and Pajama Day
 Muffins with Mom
o Moms (or favorite female relatives) and students are invited to
Grace Hall from 7:00-8:00 am to enjoy muffins for breakfast!
 Pajama Day guidelines:
o Shirts should cover the shoulders and stomach (no spaghetti straps or
tank tops
o Long Pants only (no boxer shorts or nightgowns)
o Regular shoes only (no slippers or flip flops)
o Variaday guidelines apply
Tues, 1/28/14 – Donuts with Dad and Bible Story Day
 Donuts with Dad
o Dads (or favorite male relatives) and students are invited to Grace
Hall from 7:00-8:00 am to enjoy donuts for breakfast!
 Bible Story Day
o Students are out of uniform and dressed to represent something from
their favorite Bible story
o Each grade will choose a Bible story and discuss how students want to
dress to represent that story
o Variaday guidelines apply
Wed, 1/29/14 – Priest Appreciation Day and Crazy Hat Day
 We will be giving gifts to our favorite priests at the All-School Mass
 Fr. Bob & Fr. Peter will join the students for lunch that day and have a
home-cooked lunch (prepared by our teachers)
 Students can wear their crazy hats after Mass
Thurs, 1/30/14 – Staff Appreciation Day and Crusader Wear Day
 Crusader Wear guidelines:
o Students can either wear their Crusader Wear or school colors (blue
& white)
o Variaday guidelines apply
 Teachers and staff will receive a small surprise to show our appreciation for
all they do
Friday, 1/31/14 – Student Appreciation Day, Variaday, and Open House
 Open House
o Student Council members will be conducting school tours from 8:0011:00 am
 Student Appreciation Day
o Students will enjoy donuts in their homerooms after announcements
o We will be playing Intercom Bingo that morning
o A fun and exciting Cultural Arts assembly for all students from 1:302:30 pm (am preschool students are invited to attend)
Sunday, 2/2/14
9:30 Mass - closing Mass
 Our own alumnus and teacher, Mr. Brennen, will speak about his experiences
here St. Norbert
Food Drive to benefit the Northfield Food Pantry
During Catholic Schools Week, Student Council is sponsoring a “Food Drive”.
Suggestions include: canned products such as fruits, vegetables, tuna, salmon, and
soups. Also needed are bags or boxes of macaroni and cheese, pasta, rice, cereal,
Ramen soups, and dried beans. Paper bags with handles are also needed. These
can be sent with your child or dropped off at the Front Desk for Mrs. Philbin.
