How to book
To book an appointment at one of the
Weekend Plus practices, please phone
reception here at Park Medical Centre.
The receptionist will then advise you of
the times and dates that Weekend
Plus practices have available and book
you an appointment. When you
phone Park Medical, the receptionist
will ask you if you consent to record
sharing. By consenting to record
sharing, this will enable the Weekend
Plus practice at which you have
booked an appointment to access your
records so the GP can provide you
with appropriate care. Without record
sharing, the GP will not be able to
provide appropriate care for you.
You will receive a text message (if we
a have mobile number for you)
confirming the time, date, the practice
name and postcode.
To cancel your appointment, please
phone Park Medical Centre during
opening hours.

The Weekend Plus Service offers
bookable GP appointments. These
should be booked for general routine
appointments and not for medical
emergencies. As it is a new service,
there will be some services that will
not be provided.
The following services will not be
provided by the Weekend Plus
practices:

Patients who are identified
within a potentially life
threatening medical condition
which is not suitable for primary
care management must be
immediately and safely
transferred to the relevant
urgent and emergency care
service

GP appointments relating to test
results received/communication
of diagnosis

Mental health-related
appointments

Condition reviews (e.g. diabetes,
COPD, care plans etc.)

Medication reviews

Prescription of controlled drugs
