Secretary – Marketing Sponsorship & Events The Secretary for Marketing, Sponsorship and Events is responsible for overseeing the implementation of the club marketing plan and sponsorship agreements as well as the chief organiser of fundraising and social events for the season. Objective To promote and market the club in a positive way at all times. To establish a broad fundraising and social calendar for the season and end of season to provide a range of appropriate entertainment for all Club members and to enhance the appeal of the Club to the wider community. To provide support to the Executive and Committee members to ensure the efficient operation of the club. Responsible To The Secretary for Marketing, Sponsorship and Events is directly responsible to the President and the club members. Responsibilities Develop (as part of the club plan) in conjunction with the Committee the club marketing plan and sponsorship packages Work with the Treasurer to develop a budget for the marketing plan and other events Oversee the implementation of the strategies in the marketing plan Submit regular reports to the club committee Co-ordinate all sponsorship for all areas of the club Meet the sponsorship budget target set as part of the annual financial planning process Ensure all existing sponsors are contacted three months prior to the season commencement Seek out new sponsors to supplement existing sponsors Ensure sponsors signage is in place and all other aspects of sponsorship packages are in place prior to the commencement of the season Arrange a sponsors functions (if applicable) Ensure all sponsorship agreements are put in writing and honoured Maintain contact with all corporate sponsors throughout the season Maintain strong relationships with all Club sponsors. Manage Fundraising or Event subcommittee (if applicable) Plan and coordinate social events for the season Organise the End of Year Presentation night Organise other club associated fundraising events (if applicable) Relationships Reports to the Club Committee. Liaises with the Executive. Liaises with official Club suppliers & other key stakeholders. Accountability The Secretary for Marketing, Sponsorship and Events is accountable to the President and the General Committee. The Secretary for Marketing, Sponsorship and Events shall provide a monthly report to the General Committee.
