RESULTS OF 2014 SURVEY
From Friday 31st January for 1 week we conducted our annual Patient Survey in
consultation with the Patient Group. 100 patients responded to the questionnaire.
Below is a summary of the results, with a selection of comments that were provided.
The information is used to assist the surgery in developing new ways of working or
making patients aware of systems already in place and getting useful feedback.
Summary of results

A very useful service – it worked well last time!
Very Impressed with the quick and efficient way this clinic ran. Well done
Saturday is ideal. As many people don’t work on a Saturday.
We now regularly send SMS text patients, to remind them of appointments. We
can only do this if we have a current mobile phone number and have the
patient’s agreement that we may contact them in this way.
I have received text
messages from the surgery
and I am happy w ith this
service

Alternative seating plan
More seats in busy open surgery
Seats grouped in clusters rather than in Rows
Overall appearance e.g. to decoration
Re decoration - (a number of patients felt it was time to re paint the waiting
room make it brighter and a maybe a change to the painting on the wall)
Improve lighting
Waiting room is fine, nice selection of toys – common room sometimes quite
toasty – could encourage on lowering the thermostat!
Could do with a refresh certainly. As someone with a bad back from time to
time there are too few suitable chairs with good lumber support.
Electronic information boards are used in many waiting rooms – They can
help in passing on useful information.
Think it is fine
No problem with current arrangement
Already clean and tidy

Better magazines in the main waiting room – Woman’s magazines. NO music
or Radio please
Heating on cooler days
We now offer the ability to order repeat prescriptions and book routine
appointments on line (you can get a user name and password, which covers both
services from reception)
I currently use the online

Never had an appointment go wrong. My Doctors have always strived to
resolve my issues. Both Reception and the Pharmacy have been more than
helpful.
I appreciate the great access to services and primary care that the surgery
provides. A Saturday clinic would be great as I work full time into the
evenings
Today for example, I telephoned to book an appointment with Dr
Scattergood. I telephoned at 9.10, it was not urgent – I was seen before 9.40
am.
Waiting times often too long - walk in appointments excellent
After talking to patients with other practices around the country I think we are
lucky to have this practice.
I think the service you provide is absolutely first class – Thank you
Do not change a good service
Your Surgery is far better than local Surgery where I was before. Your
Receptionists and Doctors are friendly and understanding.
They are excellent they help me and also my Mum and she Is 79 and she is
happy with all the others at Kimbolton Medical Centre
Difficult to know how the service could be improved
Very Good System of open surgery and appointments – some colleagues in
other Cambridgeshire Pactice’s have to wait weeks see a Dr.
