PATIENT INVOLVEMENT GROUP

We are looking for patients to join our patient involvement group. This can involve attending quarterly meetings or responding to questionnaires by either post or email to give your views and ideas.

LAST MONTH MORE THAN 166 PEOPLE DID NOT
ATTEND FOR THEIR GP APPOINTMENT. THIS IS THE
EQUIVALENT OF ALMOST 30 HOURS OF WASTED
SURGERY. IN ADDITION 134 PEOPLE DID NOT ATTEND
FOR THEIR APPOINTMENT WITH THE NURSE – MORE
THAN 34 HOURS OF NURSING TIME WAS WASTED
COMMUTER CLINICS
Commuter clinics for people who work, and can’t get to surgery in normal surgery hours, are now held on Monday and Thursday evenings between 6.30 and 7.30 pm at Kilmeny and on Monday mornings between 7.30 am and 8.00 am.
ALL COMMUTER CLINIC APPOINTMENTS ARE PRE-BOOKABLE
REPEAT PRESCRIPTIONS
Repeat prescriptions can be ordered over the telephone, online or by posting or dropping in your repeat prescription slip. Prescriptions will be ready in 48 hours.. If you want to
register for online prescriptions ask the receptionist for details
If one of the local pharmacies is collecting your prescription please allow extra time.
Please note that this is a service offered by the pharmacies and it is their responsibility to make sure they collect your repeat prescription from the surgery.
BOOK IN ADVANCE
Did you know that you can pre-book appointments up to six weeks in
advance.
A limited number of pre-bookable appointments are available on line – ask the receptionist about registering for this service
Patients can also be seen at either surgery – just ask when you make your appointment.

GP CHANGES
Dr David Gopal is on long term sick leave.
Dr Maz Begum will not be available for routine surgeries for the next six months as she is away on a sabbatical.
Dr Lucy Clement is now on maternity leave.
Dr Adeem Rubani will be working at the surgery for the next twelve months.
Dr Joe Murtagh will be joining us for approximately three months.
