The concert, sponsored by the ECU Student Activities Board (SAB), will be held on Thursday, October 27, 2011 at Williams Arena at Minges Coliseum. O.A.R. will headline the fourth annual homecoming concert, which will also feature Company of Thieves and Matt Corey. ECU has enjoyed performances in the first three years of the homecoming concert by Ludacris (2010), Dashboard Confessional (2009) and Lupe Fiasco (2008) as the featured performers. Tickets are on sale for the O.A.R. concert and can be purchased through the ECU Central Ticket Office in the Mendenhall Student Center as well as online at www.ecuarts.com. The cost for tickets is $18 for ECU students and $33 for non-ECU students. The doors to Williams Arena will open at 5:30pm, with the concert set to begin at 7:00pm. O.A.R. is launches a special 10-city fall tour Oct. 1 in San Diego and includes stops in Houston, Dallas, and New Orleans before stopping in Greenville on Oct. 27. The O.A.R. fall tour will feature fan favorites including the smash hits “Shattered,” “This Town,” “Love and Memories,” and “That Was a Crazy Game of Poker” as well as music from the new album including King’s first single, “Heaven.” The single is currently climbing the charts and has quickly become a fan-favorite out on the road. Anyone under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult to enter the arena. No backpacks will be allowed inside the concert and all bags or purses must be smaller than 10” x 10” and will be subject to being searched at the door.
