Announcements & Reminders
Welcome to Donna Spychala and Barbara Thrasher on their first Staff Advisory
Committee meeting.
The Leaders Day on 2/15 was successful with Admissions hosting 40 prospective students.
2/26 & 2/27 are Presidential Scholars Weekend
Barbara Thrasher announced that an email will be sent regarding FERPA training tutorial.

Agenda a.
QEP Project, Tina Johnson
Tina Johnson distributed materials explaining the Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP) and shared five QEP proposals submitted by faculty members to the QEP
Committee. Staff Advisory Committee members will send an email to staff to rank the five QEP proposals. Tina Johnson and the QEP Steering Committee want to ensure staff members have the opportunity to provide feedback in addition to input from faculty and students. b.
PERFORMA Results, Mariea Noblitt
PERFORMA is an Enrollment Management Consulting firm that works mainly with small, liberal arts colleges. They visited for 2.5 days in January to assess the
Enrollment area. Mariea Noblitt put together s an implementation plan which she and the Enrollment staff are working on. Their focus is on increasing the number of enrolled first-year and transfer students, as well as connecting a prospective students’ interest with an activity at Randolph College.

Employee Appreciation Day
We would like to have faculty involved with the Staff Appreciation Day so our goal is to have an Employee Appreciation Day. Kathy Dupree, Bob Lanning, & Sharon
Saunders will meet to discuss a proposal. d.
Bob Lanning volunteered to be Chair and Donna Spychala will be Secretary for the next year. e.
We discussed the process for closing/delay of the College in the event of hazardous weather. Sarah Swager and Chris Burnley make their recommendation to President Klein. Supervisors need to relay to their staff that their safety is of utmost importance to the College.
IV. The next meeting will be March 10, 2010 at 9:30 a.m. in Casner.
