The Seafront Display will use images and copies of original photographs and posters from its collections to tell these stories of Doctor Brighton – Brighton Seafront 12 July – 01 March 2015 – War Stories – As part of the Royal Pavilion & Museums season of remembrance there will be a major exhibition at the museum commemorating the 100th anniversary of the start of World War 1. The exhibition will tell the story of WW1 through 12 real people. By looking at the experience of a range of individuals it will consider the impact of war time and the resonance if it throughout a lifetime – Brighton Museum & Art Gallery 12 July 2014 – January 2015 – Great War Exhibition – It is a little known fact that during the war Brighton’s Royal Pavilion was used as a military hospital for Indian soldiers. The theory being that the soldiers would feel comforted by the Indian inspired architecture.
