Prepares students to perform and supervise preliminary research in advertising and public relations environments. Includes consumer analysis, media tracking, attitude measurement, copy testing, online research and evaluation of externally supplied research. Fall 2006 Friendly amendments were made and corrected for the official records to the above proposal: AMS 271 was added as a prerequisite and PSY 210 was removed from the prerequisites. For students enrolled in the university prior to the Fall Semester 2006, with a declared major in advertising, will be allowed to substitute JOUR 400 for JOUR 342. REPORT FROM THE CHAIR Chair Shadoan said she would like to point out again, that when using the online proposal formats, to please first save them into a Word document, then type in changes before cutting and pasting. Next she asked that proposal corrections/revisions which are made in the meetings be back to the recorder within three business days. Next Chair Shadoan said the Sub-Committee is still in the process of writing new language for revising the “Drop for Non-Attendance Policy” which will also address online courses. She said the proposal will be placed on the UCC Website next week, for the Committee to look at, make additions or revisions, and to send their commentary to her or any of the Sub-Committee members.
