LEGACY SCHOLARSHIP
Information and Application
Purpose of the Scholarship: To provide aid to a deserving student or students who wish to
pursue their education at Lehigh Carbon Community College and are children or grandchildren
of an LCCC graduate.
Amount of Scholarship: The LCCC Alumni Association will award one (1) $1,000 scholarship
or two (2) $500 scholarships to “eligible” students chosen from the applications submitted. The
alumni association reserves the right to change the amount of any individual scholarship,
depending on the number of qualified applicants.
Guidelines and Eligibility: Scholarship candidates must meet the following criteria:
1. The applicant must be the child or grandchild of an LCCC alumnus.
(For purposes of this scholarship, “alumnus” is defined as a graduate of LCCC,
having received an A.A. or A.A.S. degree from the college.)
2. The applicant must attend LCCC during the semester following submission of the
application.
3. The applicant must complete the entire scholarship application and submit
answers to all questions.
4. The applicant must have a 2.0 GPA and be enrolled for the current Semester.
(Application must include a LCCC transcript.)
Selection: The LCCC Alumni Association Board of Directors will review the applications and
award the scholarships based on an applicant’s academic excellence, community involvement,
and civic leadership.
Award Restrictions: The scholarship must be applied first to LCCC tuition and fees and second
to books and supplies.
Deadline: Legacy Scholarships are awarded for the Fall and Spring semesters. Applications
must be submitted to the Alumni Office for which the scholarship is sought.
