It has also been shared on the Hampton Historical Society’s FB page. Barbara will be asked to introduce Deb Knowlton. The Friends will provide refreshments. The list is under the Action Items list. 5. T.J. Wheeler event – we discussed a possible late March/early April event, that we could tie into a Mardi Gras theme, even though it will be late for Mardi Gras. Judy will get in touch with T.J. to determine his availability. We could have themed food and necklaces. 6. Fund raising ideas – table until February to discuss in more detail. The library may be using a theme of fitness for their summer reading program, so we may want to tie into that. We will wait to see if they want to create tee shirts for their program. Towel ideas – could be either beach towels or exercise sized. 7. Museum memberships – they are not used as often as we expected and may be hard to find on the website. Judy will ask Carol to send an email to LAS to inform families about them, hopefully in time for February vacations. 8. Flatbread fundraiser – typically done on a Tuesday night. We had success with a late spring/early summer date, with families coming after sports. Possible dates: May 17, May 24 and June 7. 9. Gaming funds – we discussed when we will be eligible to apply for gaming funds and it could be as early as March 2016. 10. Other possible event/activities ideas: Beer, wine or mead tasting from local breweries and vineyards. Could pair a beer tasting with the T.J. Wheeler event. Movie nights with themes, such as “classics,” “chick flicks,” etc. The library has a license to screen movies, and could look into getting a foreign film license. Wine tasting party in the garden. 11. Barbara is looking into a program on encouraging pollinators, such as bees and has spoken to Mike Bisceglia, a local reporter and author of Gaelic and Garlic.
