BIO: Roy W. Camblin III For the past two decades, Roy has divided his time between homes in San Francisco and Paris and has been a senior executive in the stock brokerage, banking, and high tech industries with pacing organizations like Charles Schwab, Wells Fargo Bank, Oracle, and Citibank. Roy’s specialty in all these endeavors has been transformation — providing the vision and leadership at the individual, organizational, and community levels to effect major change, often under very difficult circumstances. Roy’s primary passion is people— touching other lives — helping individuals and communities fully actualize their true potential. He has an uncanny talent for seeing beyond current circumstances to what may be possible, and has the communication and motivational skills to get people engaged in that journey, making it their own. When once asked what his secret to success was, Roy responded “Life is fiction, we are each the author of our own destiny. Simply write your life forward to the outcome you desire.” Roy is a citizen of the world. His wide-ranging career has taken him all over the globe as a circus performer, instructor pilot in advanced jets, bush pilot, helicopter pilot, search and rescue mission commander, strategic war planner, stock broker, and senior business executive. He has lived or worked in Japan, Turkey, Philippines, Hawaii, Rotterdam, Dubai, Paris, London, New York and towns in the American far southwest and the Deep South. Roy has been immersed in many cultures, and has built a strong reputation as a visionary, change agent, and very effective communicator. Roy has an MS in Systems Management from USC, and a BS in Marketing from Florida State University. He has also completed the Air Force’s Air Command and Staff College and the Army’s Command and General Staff College. Honors and recognition have included: Twice nominated by Pacific Air Forces for “Ten Outstanding Young Men Of America” with numerous medals and achievement awards. In industry, Roy was named “Visionary Of The Year” by Sun Micro Systems at Computer World’s annual Top 100 event in 1992. During his most recent tenure as CEO at CleanFish, Inc., a social venture trying to help save the oceans, they received Business Week’s 2009 Most Promising Social Entrepreneurs Award and were named Responsibility Pioneer 2009 by Time magazine…“companies changing the world”. Roy has three grown children and lives in San Francisco with his wife Jane. Jane is British and heads the French American International School, a major non-profit in the Bay Area, where Roy has been her silent partner for almost thirty years. They both feel strongly about diversity, tolerance, and the right education or training being the keys to solving most of the world’s problems. CAREER SUMMARY: Roy W.
