No. 80/2006 Terrorism (Community Protection) Act 2003 Terrorism (Community Protection) (Chemicals and Substances) Regulations 2006 The Governor in Council makes the following Regulations: Dated: 27 June 2006 Responsible Minister: TIM HOLDING Minister for Police and Emergency Services RUTH LEACH Clerk of the Executive Council 1. Objective The objective of these Regulations is to prescribe the chemicals and substances to which the mandatory reporting requirements in Part 4 of the Terrorism (Community Protection) Act 2003 apply. 2. Authorising provision These Regulations are made under section 40 of the Terrorism (Community Protection) Act 2003. 3. Revocation The Terrorism (Community Protection) (Chemicals and Substances) Regulations 20051 are revoked. 1 Terrorism (Community Protection) (Chemicals and Substances) Regulations 2006 r. 4 S.R. Prescribed chemicals and prescribed substances For the purposes of section 22 of the Terrorism (Community Protection) Act 2003 a prescribed chemical or substance is a chemical or substance that is specified in the Schedule. 5. High consequence dangerous goods For the purposes of section 22 of the Terrorism (Community Protection) Act 2003 a chemical or substance is prescribed to be high consequence dangerous goods if it is specified in the Schedule. __________________ 2 Terrorism (Community Protection) (Chemicals and Substances) Regulations 2006 Sch. No. 80/2006 SCHEDULE Regulations 4 and 5 Ammonium nitrate, calcium ammonium nitrate, ammonium nitrate emulsions and ammonium nitrate mixtures containing more than 45% ammonium nitrate2 other than— (a) solutions; or (b) a chemical or substance that is a class 1 explosive listed in Appendix 1 or 2 of Chapter 9 of the Australian Code for the Transport of Explosives by Road and Rail 2nd edition, published March 2000 (as published from time to time). ═══════════════ 3 Terrorism (Community Protection) (Chemicals and Substances) Regulations 2006 Endnotes S.R.
