Terrorism (Community Protection) Act 2003
Terrorism (Community Protection) (Chemicals and
Substances) Regulations 2005
The Governor in Council makes the following Regulations:

1. Objective
The objective of these Regulations is to prescribe
the chemicals and substances, and the quantity of
each of those chemicals and substances, to which
the mandatory reporting requirements in Part 4 of
the Terrorism (Community Protection)
Act 2003 apply.
2. Authorising provision
These Regulations are made under section 40 of
the Terrorism (Community Protection)
Act 2003.
3. Commencement
These Regulations come into operation on 1 July
2005.

4. Prescribed chemicals and prescribed substances
For the purposes of section 22 of the Terrorism
(Community Protection) Act 2003—
(a) a prescribed chemical or prescribed
substance is a chemical or substance that is
specified in Schedule 1; and
(b) the prescribed quantity of a prescribed
chemical or prescribed substance is the
quantity specified in that Schedule that
corresponds to the chemical or substance
specified.
5. High consequence dangerous goods
For the purposes of section 22 of the Terrorism
(Community Protection) Act 2003—
(a) a chemical or substance is prescribed to be
high consequence dangerous goods if it is
specified in Schedule 2; and
(b) the prescribed quantity of that chemical or
substance is the quantity specified in that
Schedule that corresponds to the chemical or
substance specified.
