PRODUCT BULLETIN FORMULA HDK APPLICATION Formula HDK is a specialised liquid heavy duty alkaline cleaning compound based on Potassium Hydroxide. It is therefore suitable for eventual spray irrigation of pastures once the product has expended its alkalinity. It helps in the elimination of sodium salts in the soil causing salinity. Formula HDK is specially designed for the removal of heat modified soils, or tenacious greasy soils from food equipment. PHYSICAL PROPERTIES Formula HDK is a straw coloured viscous liquid with a S.G. of 1.45. CHEMICAL PROPERTIES Formula HDK contains 44% Potassium Hydroxide coupled with chelating agents, buffering compounds and wetting agents. FEATURES Formula HDK exhibits powerful wetting and cleaning properties. Excellent emulsifying properties accelerate cleaning action and adequate alkaline strength help remove the most stubborn soils. Formula HDK possesses controlled foaming and is suitable for both hard and soft water. DIRECTIONS C.I.P. Cleaning Pasteuriser Cleaning 0.5-1.0% causticity @ 60-65C 1.0-3.0% causticity @ 74-80C SAFETY PRECAUTIONS Formula HDK is highly alkaline and if solutions come in contact with the skin, remove contaminated clothing and wash the affected area with copious quantity of water. If eyes are affected flush with running water and immediately seek medical attention. Care should be taken when dissolving this product in warm or hot water.
